BENEFITS OF A MORTAR ACCELERATOR
When working with mortar in cold weather, adding a mortar accelerator to the mix speeds up the set time by one to three hours, helping protect the mix from freezing before it sets up. This increases the durability of the mix. Our Mortar Accelerating admixture does not affect the color of the mortar or prebagged concrete mixes. This admixture also works well with polymer-modified mixes.
HOW TO USE AN ACCELERATOR
Mortar Set Accelerator requires proper mixing to achieve the best results. Once the product has been added to the mortar, mix at a high speed for at least five minutes to ensure even dispersion in the mix. If the admixture is not properly mixed, it can cause uneven set times.
